What is a Free Agent?
A free agent is a player who is free to sign with any team.
A player becomes a free agent if:
- the player registers for a season and does not sign
with a team at the time of registration
- the player is waived from a team
Free Agency Process
The Free Agent List shows all available free agents. If a team is interested in a player, the
General Manager or Head Coach can contact the player to gauge the player's interest in playing for their team.
If talks go well the team can extend an offer to play for their team.
The player is free to choose whichever team the player wants to play for from his/her list of offers.
A signing deadline may or may not be imposed by the League Administrator.
If a player has not chosen a team prior to the signing deadline, the League Administrator can place
the player on whichever team deemed fit.
If a contract offer has been extended, the player is not "signed" until the player accepts the offer to play with team,
or the league administrator assigns the player to the team.
NOTE:
League Administrator may revoke any Free Agency aquisition if it is to the benefit of the league.
